Can I work while I study?

As an international student in Canada, you are permitted to work part-time (Maximum of 20 hours a week) while you study.

Can I pay my tuition fees in installment?

Tuition fees can be paid instalmentally but this is dependent on the institution’s policy.

What are the acceptable tuition payment channels or means available?

Payments can be made through Bank drafts, Credit card, Telegraphic Bank Transfers, Wire Transfers etc

Are scholarships available to international students?

Most colleges and universities offer scholarships to international students. The requirements and eligibility may vary according to different institution’s policy and criteria. Often times, scholarships are approved and granted based on the previous and current academic profiles of the students. More details regarding scholarships can be found on the university websites.

What are my PR prospects after my academic program

International students have different opportunities to explore Permanent Residency (PR) prospects upon successful completion of their academic programs. PR options available for international students include PNP (Provincial Nominee Programs), CEC (Canadian Experience Class), TR to PR pathway (Temporary Resident to Permanent Resident) etc. More details and new updates can be found on the IRCC website

Will I be eligible for PGWP after my program?

International students who completed their academic programs from a Designated Learning Instituiton (DLI) are entitled to a PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit) ranging from 1 – 3 years which is dependent on the length of progam completed.

Can my family members relocate with me during my academic program

Your family members can join you in Canada through the spousal open work permit and other visa options. More details can be found on the IRCC website.

What are the documents required for getting an admission into Canadian colleges and / or universities?

Valid International Passport, All secondary and post secondary academic transcripts and certificates, Language test certifcates (IELTS, TOEFL, CELPIP etc), Statement of intent expressing your interest to study, Work experience certificates, Resume and Passport Photographs

Would I incur any financial loss in case of visa rejection / denial?

Most institutions offer a refund of the initial deposit paid after a nominal deduction of the administrative and progcessing charges in the event of visa rejection. This is usually stated in the offer letter or letter of acceptance issued by the institution and can also be found on the institutions website. Note also that the visa fees will not be refunded in the event of your visa refusal.

What would be the average amount I would need to study in Canada

Your total cost of study includes your tuition fees, living and other miscellaneous expenses. This cost varies based on program of study, institution, choice city of residence. However, this may range between $15,000 to $40,000 CAD.

What are the options available in case my vsa is rejected?

If your visa is rejected, the Nestto team will re-submit your application by providing explanations and documentations to address the concerns raised by the High Commission / Embassy or IRCC Official. Alternatively, the Nestto team could also assist you with processing refund of any initial tuition deposit paid to the institutions in the event where you do not want to proceed with a visa re-submission.
